ABOUT THE PROJECT<\/p>\n
\u00a0The exhibition entitled \u201cHistory Regained \u2013 Jewish Life in Wroc\u0142aw and Lower Silesia<\/em><\/strong>\u201d was first presented on May 6, 2010, in the newly renovated White Stork Synagogue in Wroc\u0142aw. The opening of the exhibition was part of the events marking the completion of the first phase of the project to restore the synagogue building to the Wroc\u0142aw community as a Center for Jewish \n<\/strong>The Bente Kahan Foundation, established in 2006 with the aim of restoring Jewish heritage, was responsible for the restoration of the White Stork Synagogue (2010), the shul\/small synagogue (2015), the mikveh\/ritual bath (2018), and the Educational Center located in the synagogue\u2019s basement. Additionally, in 2017, the FBK conducted archaeological excavations on the site of the New Synagogue, built in 1872 and destroyed during Kristallnacht on November 9, 1938.<\/p>\n
