ABOUT THE PROJECT<\/p>\n
Exhibition entitled: History Recovered – Jewish Life in Wroclaw and Lower Silesia<\/em> <\/strong>was presented for the first time on May 6, 2010 at the newly renovated White Stork Synagogue in Wroclaw. The opening of the exhibition was part of the events crowning the first stage of the project to restore the synagogue building to the Wroclaw community as a Center for Jewish Education and Culture. \n<\/strong>The Bente Kahan Foundation, established in 2006 to restore the splendor of Jewish heritage, was responsible for the restoration of the White Stork Synagogue (2010), the shul\/small synagogue (2015), the mikvah\/ritual bath (2018) and the Education Center located in the synagogue’s basement. In addition, in 2017, FBK conducted archaeological excavations at the site of the New Synagogue, built in 1872 (destroyed during Kristallnacht on November 9, 1938). <\/p>\n
